At JAPEILS Compression Nigeria Limited, we believe that all incidents are preventable and that excellent business performance is inseparable from sound Health, Safety, Security and Environmental stewardship.
Our commitment to HSSE is integral to our corporate culture and to the success of every project we undertake in oil, gas, and power industries.
We shall conduct all operations in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, contractors, clients, and host communities, while preventing damage to the environment and preserving the integrity of our assets.

We aim for zero incidents, zero injuries, and zero environmental spillsacross all our projects and facilities. - Regulatory Compliance
We comply fully with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations, including DPR, NUPRC, and NCDMB directives, and adhere to international standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IFC Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines. - Safe Work Systems
We implement systematic Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Permit-to-Work (PTW)systems, toolbox talks, and risk assessments before every task, ensuring all activities are executed safely and efficiently. - Environmental Protection
We are committed to preventing pollution, minimizing waste generation, conserving resources, and promoting the use of environmentally friendly technologies. - Occupational Health and Well-Being
We provide a safe and healthy workplace, free from occupational illness, harassment, and unsafe acts, and ensure access to medical care, hygiene facilities, and fitness-to-work evaluations. - Emergency Preparedness and Response
We maintain robust emergency response procedures, including fire prevention, evacuation drills, and spill control, to ensure prompt and effective action during emergencies. - Security of People and Assets

Management Responsibility
Management at all levels is accountable for HSSE performance and shall provide the necessary leadership, resources, and commitment to ensure effective implementation of this policy.
Every employee and contractor shares the responsibility for working safely and for stopping any unsafe act or condition without fear of reprisal.
Performance Objective
Our target is “No Harm to People, No Damage to the Environment, and No Compromise on Integrity.”
HSSE performance is a key measure of success at JAPEILS Compression Nigeria Limited.
Review and Endorsement
This HSSE Policy is reviewed annually or whenever there are significant changes in our operations or applicable regulations to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness.
